Before I speak about Yanshu & Michael, I will say this. It is a pure honor when a fellow photographer requests Anye and I to photograph their intimate moments. Over the course of the last six years, we’ve been able to shoot many photographers, and we’re eternally grateful for being considered. Thank you once more Yanshu & Michael.
He loves her silliness, and she loves his faith and his heart for Christ. Their story begins on a dating application called “Coffee Meets Bagel” (sounds like a place where Anye and I would’ve met). Instead of having one big “aha” moment, Michael noted that there were many small “wow” moments along the way that confirmed and even affirmed that Yanshu was the woman that he had been looking for all his life.
Volunteering together at NJ Food Bank, singing Karaoke together with their parents and also hiking together are some of the small “wow” moments that they shared together during their relationship. The culmination was on an epic trip to their respective homelands in the Philippines and China. They shared many wonderful experiences on this journey. They met each of their respective families, laughed, and ate and broke bread together. And during it all, Michael kept thinking that he want to travel and experience every little thing with Yanshu. Michael denotes “My cup had runneth over, and my heart was full, and I knew I loved her with my whole heart.” Once they returned to the States, Michael started planning his marriage proposal.
Yanshu & Michael celebrated their union with an intimate ceremony with just their parents present. They got ready in separate rooms in their New Jersey home, and after the first look, they made their way to the Somerville Borough Hall to be wed.
Anyeka and I had a fantastic time with Yanshu and Michael, and we wish them both nothing but love and happiness.
Awesome as always, Josh!
