Last May we received an email from Penelope requesting information and pricing her August elopement wedding in NYC. Anyeka promptly responded letting them know that unfortunately we were unavailable. Truthfully speak we were a little disappointed. We love small and intimate New York City weddings. Determined to have us photograph them Penelope asked us if we were available to shoot an engagement session for them and cover their much larger wedding/vow renewal to take place in Turks & Caicos the following year. The stars fully aligned and our calendars were 100% clear. We were packing our bags and heading back to the Caribbean!
Since, then it’s been over a year and we grown to love Penelope & Joseph. In fact it wasn’t that hard to love them. They’ve been an amazing couple who’ve turned into great friends. Even baby Tori loves them.
Penelope & Joseph couldn’t pick a better backdrop for their friends and family to witness them share their vows. The turquoise water, the fine sand beneath your feet and the amazing backdrop pretty much make falling in love again very easy. We documented their rehearsal dinner the day before the wedding. During the dinner, lots of people shared stories about both the bride and groom. It wasn’t the outpouring of emotion that struck us. It was how person after person talked about the character and integrity of Joseph and the tenderheartedness of Penelope. It was truly amazing.
We’re incredibly honored that they would have us photograph their special moments. We had a blast photographing their Turks and Caicos. Anyeka & I look forward to strengthening our relationship with them for years to come.
